Getting around The Scottish Highlands
Most people drive, and Blue Badge parking is generally easy at the main sights. ScotRail serves Inverness, Aviemore and Fort William, and Citylink and Stagecoach buses run the main routes. With such long distances, meeting someone in your own part of the Highlands keeps a first date relaxed.
If you are eligible, a National Entitlement Card makes local buses free, which helps on the long Highland routes.
